WEDNESDAY, JUNE 8, 1864. Guarded Bridges across Otawa with 50 men Relieved at Night by Lt. Parishes dismounted Men. THURSDAY 9 Rec. Orders to be Ready to move my command at Noon to Relieve Capt Platt Co. "D" Stationed half-way between Kingston and Adairville Ga. Relieved him at 5 O'Clock in the evening - We having 10 day's Rations. Patrol each way to the above mentioned Towns FRIDAY 10 Summet Patrol Station every thing going right except some excitement on the R.R. near Resaca occasioned by the sudden appearance of a few Rebs. who Captured a few of our men and burnt a few Cars Had P. Sullivan carrying a Rail because he persisted in disobeying my orders - Weather fine and Pleasant.
