TUESDAY, JUNE 14, 1864. Got up early went to Kingston to be mustered and from there went to Regt to have my papers Signed and Returned to be mustered but Gregg Lt. Co. "B" being mustered before I was mustered out - Had to wait until the Case was properly disposed of - Returned to Camp at sun set WEDNESDAY 15 All quiet - Fine Weather. Rained a fine Shower - Wheat almost ripe - no Inhabitants here all done and gone away with the Reb Army - but few Blacks left - Blackberries Ripe - Huckleberries Ripe. Chickens plenty- live finely (Vertically, over entry:-) The men with Sore Backed Horses joined us this day from four miles below Kingston Ga. They Received their Pay. THURSDAY 16 Engaged making up my Co. papers. Lt Gregg called about noon to have me to accompany him to Kingston for the purpose of having my muster as Capt changed from the 30th to 26th of March 1864 the day Col Smith notified us of our appointment made every thing satisfactory
