Near Waverly [Humphreys County, Tenn.] 2. Camp Near Raynols-Burgh Near the Tenisee River December 8th 1863 Dear friends I take the present opportunity of writing you a few lines in answer to wills letter which I received some three or four Days ago I was at that time camped at Popular Springs Dixson Co on the north western Rail Road we was there about 8 Days but there was no chance for mail untill the Day before we left when the ballance of the Reg. came up there was but one battallion of us there there is two here now the other is at our old camp There is plenty of Rebels here we have taken about 30
