Prisinors since we came Here and on the Road the next to the Last Day before we got here we chased some forty five or six miles and captured several there Doctor for one they fired two shots at us and then run they are bush whackers there is a gang of them on the other side of the river them and our pickets keeps firing back and forth every Day but they are to far apart do Do any harm we have the first kansas battery with us. There came a gun boat down the river yesterday it gave them one round and they hant bothered us any since we are camped about two miles back from the River I have not been there
