January 16, 1864 Well I Received a letter from Will to night, and I had Just Wrote one to Day so I thought I would write a few Lines more to you to night I have not got much to write to night for I wrote about all I had to write to Day it is not very cold here now it thaws Every Day But freezes up again at night The snow has nearly all gone off again there is a Little on the north hill sides yet I want you to send me word what the folks in general thinks about the close of the War The Talk Down here is that it will
