Friend - Page - Eqs Sir Some few dayes ago there was aletter Come from Pugh sister as I did not know her I thought that I would wright you afew lines to let you know that He was captured on the 29th of July last you will oblige me by letting Them know of his whereabouts as him and I was particular friends they perhaps will hear that he was taken prisner before this come to hand Pugh was abrave soldier always for duty please let his friends know that he is taken prisner and oblige yours John Kelley is well makes agood soldier Brave boy E Keeler [illegible] of Co M 8th Iowa vol Cav Regt Comd Co G 8th Iowa
