JANUARY. 7. Camp Paint Rock Ala Leave camp early - marching on the -R-R- - cold - friezeing Arrive at [Brownsboro?] and rest - going into camp near Maysville, Ala - on Flint River - cold - snowing 8. Camp near Maysville Ala 2nd Brigade resting here awaiting to cross Flint river on their way to Huntsville 3rd Brigade come up with us and camp for the night 9. Leave camp near Maysville cross Flint river on wagons and march for Huntsville 10th[?] & 56th Ill stay at flint river 17th Iowa and 80th Ohio on to Huntsville and camped at 4 oclock
