OCTOBER. 4. Camp 2 1/2 miles from Tilton Ga No trains runing - Track torn up between here & Dalton It is being repaired It still Rains 5. H C & S I go to Dalton on pass Several trains pass down to Resacea loaded with troops A fight occurs between Kilpatrick & Wheeler at snake gap 6. Camp near Tilton Ga" Rained nearly all last night streams high No thro' trains down to day Rebels above us
