OCTOBER. 16. Sunday Camp north of Summerville Ga Drew rations today marched to Summersville & rested for the night, A squad of Prisoners from the 115th Ill was add to our number. Also a few cavalrymen 17. Monday Left camp at Summersville, early and marched southward Passed nearly all of Hood's Army - Marched 8 or 9 miles S. W. of Summerville and camped for the night & drew rations 18. Tuesday Left camp early & marched all day Camping for the night on the Coosie River Entered Ala near Galesville
