DECEMBER. 7. Wednesday A little rain, Health in camp good. But few sick among us Six recaptured Prisoners were brought in to day - three of whom belonged to the 17th Iowa Infty 8. Thursday Our rations at this camp consists in corn meal - Beef and Molases and occasionaly a little rice We get enough to keep the fire of life burning, but not enough to satisfy the apetite nor quench hunger 9. Friday Weather becoming more cold The time of our deliverance from Prison, comes amost too slow for our patient, Hardly a night pases, but we dream of Home and Friends
