1865 Continued 25th left Natchez at 2.oclock P.M. 26th got to New Orleans at 10.A.M. and went to camp Distribution 27th Stayed in the camp 28th = = = = = March .1865. 1st Left New Orleans at 2 oclock P.M. went out to Lake Ponchaitrain and at 6 P.M. got on board of the coaster Alabama 2nd at 12 oclock M. left and run untill 8 P.M. and anchored it being to foggy to run 3rd raised our anchor at 4 oclock A.M. and passed out in the Gulf at 3 oclock P.M. run in Mobile Bay at 5 P.M. and anchored 4th raised our anchor at 8 oclock, A.M. arrived at Pensacola Bay at 3 P.M. got off at 6 P.M. and reported to the regiment at Barrancas 5th Sunday was in camp all day 6th (illegible) sargent of regimental guard
