1865 Continued 7th Sunday company was relieved and came to camp inspection to award the medal 8th was on regimental guard 9th Layed in camp all day "drill" 10th companies E. K and G went in town as guards one division of the 16th A.C. arrived here the talk is that they are to relieve us. 11th was relieved of guard received order to be ready to march at a moments notice by way of water 12th Struck tents at 9 oclock.A.M. went down to the landing and embarked on the steamer John H Groesbeck Started at 2 oclock.P.M. run untill 12 at night and landed it being to foggy to run. 13th Started at 6 oclock A.M. passed several boats during the day on their way up the river arrived at Mobile at 9 oclock. P.M. landed and tied up for the night.
