June here we halted to rest a few days & wash our cloths 8th nothing for breakfast but coffee & beef the beef to poor to fry so we roasted it, for dinner we had green apples stewed, no sugar no coffee no nothing but apple sauce about 4 oClock P M we drew rations of sugar coffee and salt pork had fried pork & coffee for supper at 5 P.M. had inspection of arms
