June 17th today we have had a glorious time our Co on the skirmish line the rebs showed a heavy front our line moved forward we charge & drive them double quick 4 or 5 miles in our haste we got in front of the 20. Corps we moved back to our position on the right the enemy make a stand at Kinesaw Mountain our artilery get in position & commence shelling them
