June afternoon had a very heavy shower about 9 PM we had orders to pack & be ready to move July 1st at 3 A.M. we fell in & moved about 1 mile to rear lay till after breakfast then moved to the extreme right had considerable skirmishing drove the enemy in about 2 miles & built breast works then I was detailed to help at the Divis hospital
