July & had a feast of black berries & huckle berries the general talk in camp is of what the young bucks are doing to day up north, during the night we heard a reb train of cars come sneaking up to the river without whistling. saw the light of a fire supposeit to be the bridge, our brass bands play untill about 11 oclock July 5th rebs all across the river except their cavalry marched to the woods & camped in a field
