July were out picking berries had their horses tied in a grove the rebs came up & stole them & succeeded in making good their escape, the horses was two of the Divs a mule & the Chaplains grey mare, we are camped at Cross Keys road 19th moved about 5 miles towards Decatur Haskells Div run ahead of the 18th Corps & take the town captive considerable property, were relieved by the 16th Corps
