Sept 4th rebs have not opened a piece of artilery at us today Capt (Jallap?) died; the (19th?) (Reg?) will guard his remains to Atlanta, in the evening the brass band were serenading the Gen the rebs sent their complements over in a shell which put a sudden stop to their music 5th kept up a warm artilery fire on the rebs all day & at night our whole army fall back march all night & till (I?) (in?)
