Sept read to the regt 25th regt went out in the country with a forage train Lewis Pippin was captured & John Dippy is supposed to be, 26th regt receive 6 months pay I receive $117,30 our Chaplain came back to us to resign & go home receive letter from Sister & answer it 27th Chaplain preaches his farewell Sermon 28th Chaplain leaves us at 5 A.M. for home, wrote letter to Arvin Bronk, heavy thunder shower in evening
