Oct P.M. distance 12 miles go into camp near the r r weather cold & windy an over coat & gloves would be very exceptable 9th in the morning I went to town to see the wounded rebels all the spare building are filled with them among the rest is a young woman dressed in rebel uniform wounded in the thigh, they fought on the 5th of Oct our loss in killed wounded & prisoners was 750 rebel loss 1500 the 73rd Ill lost out of 150, 73 killed & wounded & 10 captured
