Oct the rebs that were captured had nothing in their haversacks but sugar cane they say it was issued to them as rations 10th about 9 A M we took up our line of march northward followed a winding road through the mountains crossed the Etawa river at the r r crossing marched through Carters ville & halted for dinner 1/2 mile out of town after dinner marched to Cass ville & turned to the left & camped for the night
