Oct men was killed by being thrown from his horse another mortally wounded a few more slightly wounded, Several of the rebs were killed & wounded exact number not known we continue on about 3 miles farther & halt for dinner after dinner we (our brig) form a line of battle after we had formed the line I was looking around through the brush (in rear of our regt) & found a reb (of the 16 Alabama Cavalry) hiding in the grass
