Oct the left hand road towards Rome we fall in & march eleven miles & go into camp after dark about 3 miles from Georgia line 30th march at sunrise towards rome through a rich country passed two plantations which had barns on them march through the village of Cave Springs as handsome a small town as we have seen in the south, camp just dark within 2 miles of rome distance 22 miles
