Nov 1864 slightly wounded inthe face, & one of Co I in the leg 27th moved to the right our night resting on the r r & build works, in the afternoon our regt cross the river & go down it, on a reconaisance march about 2 miles meet some Cavalry remain there untill dark then return to camp Skirmishing in front 28th packed up at 4 A.M. crossed the river & burned the bridge about day light the rebs apear on the oposite bank & Skir-
