Tuesday Sept 2d- Left camp at 5 A.M. Road for 2 miles sandy.; rest of the way to Camp Right rooling & tolerably good. Camp in a verry pretty valley of 2 or 3 hundred acres Good timber & water Camp in charge of 1st Lieut Baily of the 5th Inf C.V. and one Sergt & 3 privates of the 2nd Cavalry C.V. (Vertically, from bottom left) Traveled 8 miles to day
