Saturday Sept 6 Lay in camp till 4 P.M. then started on the 18 mile "heat" Went 9 miles to "Palm springs." stoped and watered our animals, & filled our canteens. Very poor water, hardly fit to use. Roads sandy all the way Arived at Cariso cred at midnight. pretty well tired out Hardest drive have had (Vertically, from bottom left:-) Traveled 18 miles tonight
