the chief perculiarity about it. Stopped in Ha Ha bay a few hours lots of blue berries were shipped here., they say bears are very fond of them & are taken by the Indians when feeding on them. This river is pretty nearly straight in its course & I should guess averages 3/4 mile in breadth. The fog cleared off & we started about 7.30 A.M. up the river down again & back to Quebec about 9.30 A.M on Thursday the 4th of August. I forgot to say that we stopped on our way at Murray bay & Riviere du loup (river doo loo). It struck me as very cold during the greater part of the trip except ashore at Ha Ha bay & close to it in the steamer. Expense £2 including every thing August 4th rained all day went to see the falls of Montmorency
