Q.M. Office 7" Iowa V.V.I. "Camp Near." Louisville K.Y. June 9th.. 1865 My dear Wife You will see from this that we have Changed Camp since I wrote you last. I entended to write you again before leaving Washington but for two or three days before our departure from there I was Kept so busy that I did not have time, you have no doubt learned from the newspapers that Shermans Army is moving west the 15" Corps was the 1st.. to move and must by this time be in Camp near this place, our Brigade was ordered out on the morning of the 2nd.. inst took the Cars that afternoon went to Parkersburg Va. then took Transports for Louisville K.Y. and arrived here on the afternoon of the 7th.. making the trip,
