Tues Eve, Feb 21st / 65 Miss Jennie Scott Dear friend Please pardon Lizzie's negligence for not answering your very kind letter which I received some time ago. I was indeed agreeably astonished when I found that I had a dear friend away out in Iowa. but it is as you spoke of in your letter that cousin Bella's friends must be my friends also We have had a very nice winter so far, there has been a great deal of snow, and the people, I think, has enjoyed it very well. I for my part has sleighed a good deal there is a singing about six miles from our house. I have been there a couple of nights oh the snow, it is splendid singing
