here we are doing nothing but guarding the property of rebbles and trators. perhaps you may think it strange but some of the high born brave volunteers in our army are to night guarding the property of Citizens that will not suffer them to eat or sleep in the same house with them, but send them to the overseers home to sleep, and to the Negroes quarters to eat. I say the Amarican soldier that thus suffers himself to be treated is a fool,, was I thus treated I would burn the house if fire would do it I am becoming evry day more Convinced of the henious nature of slavry,, and untill it is destroyed the war will not Cease I beleive it to be the strengh of the rebbles. let us liberate the slaves, destroy their growing Crops and I am of the opinion that it will do more to bring to their sences than all the fiting that Can be done. this may to those in Civil life appear rather savage like, but extrem cases require extreme measures, and the policy should be to weaken them in evry possiable way, for be assured that we have no trifling foe to contend with talk about emalgimation in the north among the abolitionist here is the place to see emalgimation,, the full blooded african here is as Scarse as the matter is in the north
