12 At 11 last night our brigade and whole division packed up and moved to the right of the Corps relieving Davis. The 15 Corps on our left had quite a [brush?] at 11 last night on the picket line Being unwell I remain behind the Reg and catch up this morning. When the fog rose we saw the Jhnnies works 200 yds in front, and embrasures at 500 yds, which bids fair for warm times while here, At ten A.M. a duel takes place, making us hunt our holes finely. (Verrtically at left:-) Maj 14" Mich meets Rebel Maj half way and delivers his letter, the munition &c.
