This was a full days march we making in all 20 miles reaching Camp at dark, Camped 1/2 from Resaca, Yesterday the Johnnies drove in the skirmishers here and kept up a feint until the R R was burned within a mile of the town, Resaca was held, 15" Got off shortly after daylight and struck off up the R R for Dalton, The Rebs have burned the road 16 miles north and captured Dalton
