the direction of Danville Continued getting colder all day, Were kept standing in line nearly all forenoon Report says there is a general engagement going on, in the direction of, or near Harrodsburgh, Bodies of the killed in the late battle yet lie unburied, there being too busy times to attend to them. Almost two thirds of the houses in Perryville were struck by cannon balls from the battlefield some of them are badly shattered The desolation and destruction caused by the late battle would hardly be believed by anyone not seeing it
