the contest on this side In the evening we rec'd letters from home which was very cheering to us in these discouraging times Cant imagine what this countermarch of our corps means, but we must certainly be bound for Nashville soon (Vertically, at left:-) Wednes 22 Our co now can muster but 12 files Co E not much better. I begin to think the reg is nearly played out. Hospital Comissary Field & all, Were hindered by other divisions all day, and consequently were late at night getting to camp
