20th A rainy night. We never saw as lonesome time as now, and the past week Think almost anything would be acceptable as a change 21st We & the 17th went on a foraging expedition some 11 miles was successful returned at 8 PM., all tired and sore, 22 Only a small drill today sore as we were, 23d Strict orders for drills, had heavy drills all day. 24 E & H went on picket of course it rained before we were on two hours Strict orders to the guard. 25 A miserable night, got
