Such running & leaping, but it escaped the volley of balls, and the last we saw of it was its form high in air as it cleared a fence 10" Started early, our Brig in rear of Div, Marched very rapidly until noon, but in afternoon had some trouble with blockaded roads, (A fine house with white flag out [Gen Irvins] was burned yesterday. Joe Tayler was told by the negroes whose hous was in danger,) We passed some very fine plantations today. all the fine houses being burned.
