12" A desperate rain all night, mingled with the most vivid flashes of lightening and peals of thunder awful to hear, All night it poured down and in the morning it cleared off. At 10 AM we moved out, passed the CH and over the meanest road it requiring us to march until sun-dow to make 8 miles. We crossed the Pamunky on a very rickety Pontoon, Large almost endless fields are seen all along the route, also works of 2 years ago, Passed Concord Church
