Durant [Erq?] New 11, Dear [Pin?], Mr. Henry informs me that he has not rec. instructions to pay any money to me on a/c of your taxes and awaits your order in the matter; the amount required will be about $340.- With regard to the "Jt a/c H train am" taxes, they must be filed before 1st September to prevent sale as delinquent, and about $500 will be wanted in this case.- If that note of Libby's could be collected it would cover the amount, but as I wrote you in the 6th [int.?] his interview with Mr E. [Corh?] has warrants him, he thinks, in delaying payment until we are ready to receive the $360. "[Fluence?]", which in my opinion God will not be ready to redeem for some time to come.- Mr E. Cook has not got returned, being delayed at [Niucomb?], N.Y. by sickness; he writes that he will be home next week.- I notion a sale [ilegible] in a [Butou] paper for last Saturday of $. M&M L.G.Bonds, lodged as collateral; suppose you know all about it.- Yours Truly, M.L. Coffin.
