Davenport, 6 Sep, 1860 T. C. Durant Esq Dear Sir Judge Grant has got home and I have delivered him the Poweshiek & Iowa Co [coupons?] with instructions for immediate suit in U. S. Court. He says you are rather late, but he will try and get them in the coming term. Have also delivered him the [Christee? & illegible] papers for foreclosure of mortgage. Have recd no reply to mine of 27th ult. Yours Truly John L Coffin
