Know all Men by these Presents,
That We Robert S Douglass & Sophia H Douglass his wife of the County of Pottawattamie and State of Iowa in consideration of the sum of fifteen Hundred Dollars, in hand paid, by Thos C Durant of New York City & County, President of Mobelia of America and State of New York do hereby sell and convey unto the said Thos C Durant President of [aforesaid?] following described premises, situated in the County of Harrison and State of Iowa, to-wit:
The South West Quarter of the South West Quarter of Section twenty-seven (27) the East Half of the South East Quarter and ten acres in a square form in the South East Corner of the South West Quarter of the South East Quarter of Section  twenty eight (28) all in Township seventy nine (79) North of Range forty five West - containing together one hundred and thirty acres more or less
And We hereby covenant with the said Thos C Durant President of Mobelia of America that We hold said premises by good and perfect title, that We have good right and lawful authority, to sell and convey the same; that they are free and clear of all liens and incumbrances whatsoever. And We covenant to warrant and defend the said premises against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. Signed this 28th day of Feb A.D. 1866.

Pottawattamie County.} SS.On this 28th day of Feb. A.D. 1866, before me the undersigned Notary Public within and for said County personally came Robert L Douglass and Sophia H Douglass personally known to be the identical persons whose names are affixed to the above Instrument as Grantors, and acknowledged the same to be their voluntary act and deed, for the purposes therein expressed.
In Testimony whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my official seal at Council Bluffs on the date last above written.
