[due?] by telegraph July 21/66 HCC [Batas?], July 20th, 1866. T.C. Durant, Esq Dear Sir, When in N.Y. last March, I told you of an offer of $3,500 for the East Davenport Mill Lot, and you said I might sell for $4,000. The parties refused then to go above $3,500., but I have recd a letter from them to day, saying that they will now take the Lot at your price $4,000 cash. I think it is all the Lot is worth and telegraphed you this morning for an answer to the offer. The [purchasers?] money invested in low priced lands would be a good change. I shall be in N.Y. next week. Your truly Jn. L. Coffin
