Nov 2d 1866 Thos C. Durant, Esq. Dear Sir, I have sold to William [Shirlock?] the E 1/2 of S.W. 1/4 19.80.12 = 80 acres in Iowa County, near Victor. This is the 80 [conveyed?] to you by Joseph A. Blackburn for [defier?] considerations, and from all I can learn is very well sold at $10. per acre. I have shown Wm. [J?] Durant the correspondence had with parties uninterested in relation to its value and he recommends the sale at the above price. Yours Truly, Jn L. Coffin P..
