per "H. L. Express" June 27t 1868 T.C. Durant, Esq. 20 [Napun?] St. New York Dear Sir, Yours of 24th inst recd, covering Ira M.Gifford, [illegible], receipt for $1,250- H. L. 5/20 [bonds?] and herewith I enclose per "H. L. Express" the five Bonds, as follows, viz: No 50,998 $500-- 51,003 500-- 24,793 100-- 24,794 100 479 50 $1,250-- with [illegible] of Nov 1s 1968 & subsequent, attached. These Bonds [cut?] Octo 30t, 1866, 106 1/4 = $1,328.12 and they settle balance due in sale of Mill Lot at East Davenport to Wellington Scott et als, for particulars of which I refer you to my a/c [illegible] rendered Octo 31, 1866. We need very much, the following, Bond for Deed for Wm Ballantyne and Deeds for L.L. [Mase?] and Addison Miller, all of which have been sent you in mine of June 10t, 22d and 20th, respectively -- Yours truly Jn. L. Coffin
