Crane, Esq, Atty Dear Sir, Yours of 2d recd. Herein find enclosed warranty Deeds as follows, viz dated 26 Feb '74 to Louisa C. Waterman for SE1/4 of NW 1/4 21.80.8 = 40acres Johnson Co, [?] $800. dated 26 Feb '74 to Lanhard Brack for E1/2 of SW1/4 31. 80.8 = 80 acres, [?] %1,00 dated 5 March '74 to George W Baletrem for N1/2 of NE 19.80.15 - 80 acres Poweshiek Co [?] $800_ dated 1 August '74 to John [illegible] for E1/2 of NE1/4 E1/2 of SE1/4 and NW1/4of NE1/4 21.80.80_ 200 acres Johnson Co, [?] $4,000_ Those parties all have Bonds for a Deed, or contract, And I see no objection to giving Deed and taking mortgage - so, if you will execute and return the enclosed, I will exchange with the grantees, have the mortgages seconded & sent to you- You say you had not received the mortgages of Wm Herrigan, Laurence Misbush and James Mailin - that is queer, as the last named was mailed to you 22 ulto, and the two first, in 24th ulto, at Davenport_ Thronton Ford's 2 mortgages are the only ones you have not received, and they are being [recorded?].
