Durant, Esq, New York City Dear Sir, Please find enclosed the two mortgages of Thornton Ford with assignments in blank written thereon. The ink blots on the mortgages were made at the Recorders office after they had been left there for record. Haven't heard whether my letters of the 21st, 22d & 24 ulto to yourself; and the 22d ulto to Henry C. Crane, Atty. were ever rec'd. Please acknowledge receipt hereof Yours truly Jno. L. Coffin per J.
