Davenport, Iowa Sept 21 1874 Henry C. Crane Esq. Atty. Dear Sir: I have sold Thomas C. Durant's NE4 of NW4 21.80.8, (which was the only remaining 40 acres in Poluison Co.) to Charles C. Oakes for $800., $200 Cash and balance on or before 1. 2 & 3 years, with 10% int. payable annually. Please find enclosed draft of B.B. Woodward Cashir of Nat. Park BK. N.Y. for $153.68 Exchange .38 Am't to your debit in a/c $154.06 Please send me the deed as soon as you conveniently can.
