Boston Jan 4 1875 H.C. Crane, Esq. Atty [se?] Dear Sir, Yours of 2nd inst recd and contents noted - Mr Sherman has executed notes for his Poweshiek Co. purchase and my agent writes, they will be forwarded as soon as he gets returns as to title, daily expected - Sherman wants to know what discount you will make for all cash 1st April '75 - I would suggest allowing the interest on the two notes of $960-each, from 1st inst to 1 April '75, which are not payable for one and two years from that date = 3 mos int @ 10% on $1.920 = $48 = what do you say?
