Boston Februry 15 1875 H. C. Crane, Esq, Atty Dear Sir; Referring to these Judgments on record in Story County - one is described as "896 U. S. Ex Rel Durant vs. Board of Supervisors Pottawattamie County Edmonds Ransum, of Iowa City, Attorney for Relator - The action was one to enforce a judgment vs Pottawattamie Co. - The Judgment was fwd to the Attorneys and the case was dismissed at Relator's (cuts?) - In the other case Stephen Withrow & Wright, of Des Moines were Attys for Copt. it was dismissed at Compt's (cuts?) & for want of prosecution - We have written Edmends & Ransom to know if they can tell anything about the first named case, and will write Withrow & Wright - Enclosed, find deed Thomas C. Durant to Heloise H. Durant - deed recorded in Poweshiek Co. Yours truly Coffin & Henry P.S. E. C. Moore's Pottawattamie Co. taxes will become delinquent if not paid before 1st March prox some $265- Shall we pay them in your a/c?
