New York July 27/64 Homer Morgan Esq Pine St. City Dear Sir, I promised my mother (Mrs. Walford), the hirer of Mr. Durants Cottage at Staten Island, that I would call upon you in regard to repairs needed - thus far I have been unable to get out, and may not be able to do so this week. I therefore write to give you the information 1st If not immediately seen to, the ceiling of the bath room, and rooms above & below it, will all become saturated and fall, as the tank (in the house) has water in it, and all the pipes are out of order, and leaking. We have emptied the tank as far as possible, but there is still a constant dripping. 2nd The Bowl of the privy in the Bath room
