Four Thousand (4,000) dollars to be paid on the delivery of a Deed thereof containing covenants of general warranty and whereas Mrs. Heloise H. Durant - the wife of the said Thomas C. Durant, is at this time in Europe so that she cannot join in said Deed and whereas the parties hereto are desirous of closing said transaction so far as it can be done with entire safety to all parties. Now therefore it is hereby agreed that the said Thomas C. Durant shall at once Execute and deliver unto the said Wellington Scott, James E. Sindsay, John B. Phelps, James Hewett, Oliver S. Woods and Chauncey Blakeslee a warranty Deed of said Real Estate and as soon as can be conveniently done shall cause his said Wife, Mrs. Heloise H. Durant to Execute and deliver to said Wellington Scott, James E Sindsay, John B. Phelps, James Hewett, Oliver S. Woods and Chauncey Blakeslee a good and sufficient conveyance of her right of Dower in said Real Estate and that until said conveyance shall be made and delivered to the said Wellington Scott, James E. Sindsay, John B. Phelps, James Hewett, Oliver S. Woods and Chauncey Blakeslee one third of said purchase money to wit, the sum of Thirteen hundred and thirty three (1333) dollars shall be invested in interest bearing United States
